The 5th Annual International Washington DC Salsa Congress is coming up this June 19th-21st at the Hilton Crystal City in Arlington Virginia. Three days and nights of dancing, workshops, shows, and more are in store for you this June! Every year the entire DC, Maryland and Virginia Salsa Community pulls together to showcase the homegrown talent of instructors, dancers, DJs, and musicians. This event hosts artists, performers, dancers, and general salseros from around the world. We have guests that attend from Chicago, Texas, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, California, Georgia, Puerto Rico, London, Paris, Holland, Mexico, Canada, India, China and more! Although we grow larger with each year, we make sure that everyone who comes to the DC Salsa Congress feels welcome, has a great time, and parties with a huge Salsa community!

2008 DC Salsa Congress International Room We all love to dance Salsa. But we know that sometimes you want to take a break. That's why we are bringing back...the International Room! We have secured two dance rooms for the event, the Main Ballroom will have the Salsa/Mambo/Cha-Cha-Cha and Bachata that you know and love, and the International room will be the place to get more Salsa/Bachata/Merengue/Reggaeton and Hip Hop. Last year was the first year that we had this and it was at the top of the list for requests for 2009. We always listen to our customers, so you know that we'll have the party going for all the styles that you love to dance!

Pre-Congress Kickoff at The Salsa Room!

The official pre-party for the 2009 DC Salsa Congress will be held at THE SALSA ROOM! This will be the 3rd year that the Salsa Room has collaborated with the DC Salsa Congress and it's going to be the opening party of the year! Franco, owner of TheSalsaRoom.net is declaring Thursday, June 18th, an official TSR meetup, an you know what that eans, it means great music, beautiful people, and a nonstop party.

In addition to a full bar (try the strawberry mojitos!) The Salsa Room also is a full service restaurant. Enjoy an empanada between Salsa dances, or munch on a seafood salad after your Bachata!
