We are proud to host the 2007 International Salsa Congress.  This year the DC congress will host over 40 Workshops, with performers and instructors from around the world. We have confirmed guests from India, Japan, Canada, the UK, California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and the list continues. With DJ Bruno as the Master DJ, we know that the music will satisfy all dancers, and with Eileen Torres as the Master of Ceremonies, this will be an oppporunity to learn about the history of Salsa, as well as understand the current developments. Orquesta La Romana has conirmed that they will be kicking the event off on Friday night, and special Guest Vocalist Frankie Vasquez will be jamming with us as well! We will have some special surprise performances, and our international guest, DJ Samurai will be breaking out some music that he has been saving for this occasion!

More hotel rooms are now available! We met with the hotel, and our hotel block has been sold out. However we managed to convince them to open up just 20 more rooms at the special dicount rate of $119/night. Once those rooms are gone they are gone and the rate triples! so book your hotel room now.  You don't want to end up stranded, and they aren't letting peopel sleep in the lobby!

Congress Week schedule- There will be events happening all eek in preparation for the 2007 DC Congress. View the schedule online to find out about the Kickoff party, the preparty, the post party, and every other party that you dont want to miss. Make sure you have your dance shoes ready!

Cultural Explosion
Juan Antonio Calderon was born & raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  He moved to New Jersey in 1985.  Juan began his dancing career by founding, directing, & teaching Seton Hall's first Latino Dance Group, while in High School! Since then Juan Calderon with his dance company "Cultural Explosion" has performed for television, parades, pageants, Miss Puerto Rico, and even before the Mambo king himself, Tito Puente, as well as many other celebrities at the legendary "Roseland".  No stranger to DC, we welcome Juan Calderon to the DC Congress. Don't miss his special workshop on "Jersey Smooth Salsa", only at the DC Salsa Congress!
