Orquesta La Romana
Orquesta La Romana is Confirmed for the DC Salsa Congress 2007. Orquesta La Romana, founded in 1985 has the longest history of any orchestra in the Washington DC area.  Known for their hard hitting classic salsa sound, La Romana is the dancers choice for any activity.

Directed by Edwin Ortiz, La Romana has shared stages with some of the greatest acts in salsa history.  Currently, La Romana serves as the Tito Puente, Jr. (son of the late king Tito Puente) Orchestra on his tours from New York City to Richmond, Virginia.  At the DC Congress in 2005 Orquesta La Romana jammed with Jimmy Bosch. In 2006 they set it off with timbalero Willie Villegas and Joel "Masacote" on the piano. This year they will be igniting the dancefloor with world reknowned vocalist Frankie Vasquez!

Cobo Brothers Confirmed!
 James Cobo The CoboBrothers, originally from New Jersey, have spent many years incorporating a sophisticated funk into their NY style dancing. They have taught in various cities in North America and the Caribbean, and have been invited to teach in several other cities throughout the world. They have won several Salsa/Mambo competitions and have performed in major events throughout the US. Their unique styles and ability to dance/teach both "On2" and "On1" have earned them the respect and recognition as top instructors/dancers.  Milton Cobo
